WORD ON DA STREETS: Are DSLR Cameras the Bombdiggity or the Whack Shiggity?

I’ve weighed in on both sides of the DSLR debate in my last two posts and moreso than many other things I’ve discussed in the realm of filmmaking this seems to be a hot-button issue with many people judging from the all comments I’ve gotten here and on Facebook.  DSLR camera’s seem to be something people either swear by or can’t stand. (I’m actually right in the middle on this one-  hence my two posts.)

The passion was so high that I took it to the streets in our periodic man-on-the street segment Start Some Sh*t for our podcast,  The Double Down Film Show. Not everyone had their facts straight, but just illustrates the need for more education on what DSLR cameras really can and can’t do, which is why I address the pros, cons and work-arounds for DSLR’s in The Shut Up and Shoot Freelance Video Guide.
