PEEP THIS: Fashion Videos by Alexandra Roxo

Attending and now working and teaching at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts , I’ve been blessed to meet,teach and work with more talented filmmakers than I can honestly recount.  It seems that almost every other week a name from the past pops up in the trades, at Sundance, on tv or elsewhere on the indie film scene.

Such is the case with my friend Alexandra Roxo, whose name you may recognize as the co-director/co-star of the recent indie feature Mary Marie.  Before she directed Mary Marie, Alexandra cut her directing teeth creating compelling experimental shorts and films for the world of high fashion.

Check out her visual artistry in these two fashion films showcasing lines by designer Suzanne Rae.  They’re kind of like the pages of Vogue magazine set to music.  They are also a compelling example of the type of visual poetry that DSLR camera’s are best-suited to capture.

Keep doing your thing, girl!  I’m inspired.
