My MLK Tribute Videos

In honor of MLK Day, just wanted to share these 2 different projects I produced and directed celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy at NYU, my alma mater.

One of the things I discuss about working in the world of freelance video in my 2nd book, The Shut Up and Shoot Freelance Video Guide is that it often affords me opportunities to attend events, see shows and learn about things and human experiences that I might not otherwise experience.

These 2 MLK videos were just such a project where I gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the legacy of Dr. King while creating works that help others to do the same… That’s the ultimate freelance video win-win to me-  earning, learning and doing some good in the world all at the same time while practicing and improving our filmmaking craft.
