The Unicorn Writer’s Conference
April 28th, 5:30pm – Portland, CT 

If you aspire to be a writer of any kind this is an event that you won’t want to miss.  I am just one of dozens of speakers at this annual publishing world event chock full of agents, publishers and fellow writers.  I can’t imagine better networking and crash course education for an aspiring writer than what I’ve experienced at the Unicorn Writer’s Conference.

In my particular presentation, I will share with you the various free and low-cost digital tools, platforms and guerrilla methods I used to find an audience, get noticed and to parlay my first self-published book into a multi-book deal with a major publisher.   I’ll give specific tips for starting your own podcast, video promos and more.  There is no shame in self-promotion when you do it right.  I’ll show you how to PUT the word on da street yourself.

New York Independent Filmmakers Meet Up – Round Table
May 2, 7pm – NYC  

I’ll be a special guest at this regular meet-up of indie filmmakers in NYC.  I’ll be discussing some of the nuts and bolts of film production and sharing some specific tips from my newest book, The Shut Up and Shoot Freelance Video Guide.  I’ll also have a few books and copies of the Indie Film Boot Camp – 6-DVD Set on-hand should you wish to purchase signed copies.  There will be an opportunity for Q&A afterwards as well.  I’ll be happy to tell you anything I know the answer to.
